After surviving an abusive marriage with a severely alcoholic partner, one day he walked out of their home, and just never came back. And left zero in the bank accounts for her or their child. Her child has not seen his father since. Left with no financial support and no backup, she was unable to maintain the home they had — and eventually, she lost the home altogether. Despite this devastating situation, the most painful thing was losing the one thing that mattered above all — the ability to share a home with her child, provide, and be the hands-on, devoted mother she has always been.

She has always been a devoted, hands-on mom — showing up for school, homework, sports, and every little moment. But now, she sleeps on a couch or where she can manage to crash, while her son is staying with a friend. This separation is heartbreaking.

She is doing everything she can to get back on her feet. She's actively looking for a stable job and dreams of starting her own small business to provide for her family. But right now, she just needs a chance to stabilize and rebuild.

There is documented proof with with criminal cases at superior court of her ex-husband’s abuse, arrests, and the trauma she’s had to endure — but she is determined to rebuild a nice home with her child.
